WALES' JAMES JOINS SALE
James
Welshman Dafydd James has agreed a deal to join Sale Sharks from Cardiff Blues until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old, capped 48 times by his country, played in all three Tests for the British and Irish Lions on their 2001 tour of Australia but struggled to make an impact at Blues.

The wing or centre enjoyed two spells at Llanelli Scarlets with a stint at Harlequins in between.

James also represented Bridgend, Pontypridd and Celtic Warriors in a decorated career and, in 2006, became the first player to score 25 Heineken Cup tries, when touching down for Scarlets.

He played for Wales in the 1999 and 2003 World Cups and Sharks' director of rugby Kingsley Jones said: "We're delighted that Dafydd has agreed to join us until the end of the season.

"He can play at centre or on the wing, positions where we've had injury problems this year."
