FT: WARRINGTON 58-0 HARLEQUINS

Chris Riley helped himself to five tries as the Warrington Wolves stated their Super League intentions with an 11-try 58-0 demolition of Harlequins.

Adrian Morley had been up all night to attend the birth of his second child but the skipper insisted on leading his side in their first game of the season.

Debutant Richie Myler sent in Gareth Carvell for the opener after just four minutes and Richie Mathers crossed for a second three minutes later.

With Chad Randall in the bin, Michael Monaghan darted over before Chris Bridge crossed from dummy- half while Riley's first made it 28-0 at the break.

Ben Westwood combined with David Solomona to put Riley in again and the winger added two more in quick succession.

Myler got in on the act to open a 48-0 lead and Riley touched down a fifth from Lee Briers' inventive kick straight from a scrum before Simon Grix (68) completed the scoring.
