PHELPS EYES LONDON 2012
American swimming superstar Michael Phelps is already looking ahead to the next Olympic Games in London.
The 27-year-old, who scooped a record eight gold medals in Beijing to add to the six he won in Athens, outlined his plans as he arrived in London for the Olympic handover party.
Phelps said: "I'm excited for the next four years and today is the kick-off. Olympic athletes dream of being part of the Olympics every four years.
"Right after the Olympics are over, our mindset is already focused on the next four years and what we can do to change how we prepare.
"I still have things that I want to do in the sport, I've never competed over in London and I'm looking forward to really experiencing more of the city."
Ominously for his rivals, he added: "I'm looking forward to trying new events and swimming events that I haven't had the opportunity to."
